ROLAND & APRIL
A place to gather.
We like to work with a more naturalistic aesthetic. It tends to look a bit more "rugged", but it works well with its environment.
To maximize the usable space in a confined area, we opted to construct a round patio with a dry-laid seating wall along its perimeter. A combination of sizes and shapes, as well as stone types, was used in both the wall construction and the flat work.

Roland and April's wall before

A before shot of Roland and Aprils' patio.

Roland and April's wall after. This boulder doesn't look like much, half-buried. But, it's every bit of three hundred pounds, trust me!

This retaining wall runs along the edge of the driveway, and decreases in size until it becomes a line of stone, will be planted out this spring. Once the plants are established, this wall will fade into the background as intended.
